AT THE DRIVE-IN/VIDEOSTORE

 

I'm a big fan of Drive-Ins, especially ones that play oldschool B-movies. A few years ago I used to do quick mockups of upcoming features for myself for movies I intended to watch on Saturday Nights, all based out of the fake Drive-In/ Video store that lives inside my head. Used to even do short write-ups about the features and what was being served at the snack bar. It was fun to have something to look forward to at the end of the week.

Bingo Playing Elder Gods

Some more art from the Comic Note Book. Childhood Bingo comes from true events. It's very hard to write that small. The Elder God comes from reading too much entertainment news on the internet and just the internet in general. It's interesting trying to work within the confines of the notebook.

Funny Pages : UPDATED

My older brother kindly gave me this notebook the other day when we went to visit. Before I was stung by a bee... It's only about 4 inches by 3 inches wide but I immediately went to work filling out the inside cover and finished it off with ink soon after. It amuses me. Not to toot my own horn but I think I'm leaps and bounds in quality over what that front cover proposes for artwork.  Presently considering what other kinds of comics I could fill it with. Enjoy.

UPDATE!

Did I mention I was stung by a bee? I kind of like the idea of a diary/ journal in comics form. I might try to keep it up for more than three comics...

Downtime Dino Doodles

Guess who's dying for new Jurassic Park toys to come out next month?! This guy...obviously.  In related news with the announcement of Toys R Us' impending doom I decided to finally purchase the Dilophosaurus set from Animal Planet that I've had my eye on for three years now of which the first drawing is loosely based on and colored with whatever I had laying around. Stegosaurus made its way in because Stegosaurus is the best dinosaur ever and since I was six I've wanted to ride one and be friends with him.  And finally (I think I started the doodles with them actually) just some dirt basic dinosaurs. I'm really enjoying the one on the right with his scientifically accurate little eyebrows. Enjoy.
