Bingo Playing Elder Gods

 *

Some more art from the Comic Note Book. Childhood Bingo comes from true events. It's very hard to write that small. The Elder God comes from reading too much entertainment news on the internet and just the internet in general. It's interesting trying to work within the confines of the notebook.
Enjoy.

Funny Pages : UPDATED

My older brother kindly gave me this notebook the other day when we went to visit. Before I was stung by a bee... It's only about 4 inches by 3 inches wide but I immediately went to work filling out the inside cover and finished it off with ink soon after. It amuses me. Not to toot my own horn but I think I'm leaps and bounds in quality over what that front cover proposes for artwork.  Presently considering what other kinds of comics I could fill it with. Enjoy.

UPDATE!

Did I mention I was stung by a bee? I kind of like the idea of a diary/ journal in comics form. I might try to keep it up for more than three comics...

Doodle Stuff To Look Tough and Georgie

A breaktime doodle from a better film. And Georgie now has a body and a bit of SASS. Thinking about sculpting him in the spirit of Inaction figures.

Downtime Dino Doodles

Guess who's dying for new Jurassic Park toys to come out next month?! This guy...obviously.  In related news with the announcement of Toys R Us' impending doom I decided to finally purchase the Dilophosaurus set from Animal Planet that I've had my eye on for three years now of which the first drawing is loosely based on and colored with whatever I had laying around. Stegosaurus made its way in because Stegosaurus is the best dinosaur ever and since I was six I've wanted to ride one and be friends with him.  And finally (I think I started the doodles with them actually) just some dirt basic dinosaurs. I'm really enjoying the one on the right with his scientifically accurate little eyebrows. Enjoy.

Happy Valentines Day

Been awhile since I've used colored pencil. Been awhile since I've done anything in color. A little drawing for my lovely wife based on a shared love of Ray Bradbury and a weird coincidence when we first met.  Enjoy.

Not Quite My Wife and Evolution of a George Lucas

Break time doodles. Here's a portrait of not quite my wife...

In other news, I'm learning to miss George Lucas. I still, as previously mentioned, really want a cartoony George for my desk. Here are the three steps to George Lucas perfection. From post-it to sketch book.

George

Been thinking about George Lucas recently...That's it. Actually I wouldn't mind having a cartoony, inaction, vinyl type figure of him to stand on my desk.

The first of the new...

Quick break doodles. The main one is based on my custom Vintage Collection Endor Capture Luke Skywalker with Han Solo vest and Bespin Luke belt and blaster, who travels pretty much everywhere with me.

He seemed to hear Ben's voice, faint and indistinct, as if from a great distance.

"Not the last of the old Jedi Luke... The first of the new."

HALLOWEEN 2017 VIEWING LIST

It's that time of year again!  Actually I had the last one done in September so I'm a bit late on this. But anyway here's what we're watching this year throughout the month. Feel free to use this list since I know what a pain it can be to find stuff that actually lends itself to the Halloween holiday rather than just being a scary movie.  Something we watched the other night that isn't listed here that maybe should be is "Tales of Halloween". It's an anthology of ten shorts that all kind of go together.  Some of the shorts are better than others but over all I enjoyed it. Gore and all.  Most of these are cartoon specials but a few are actual horror movies.

I also kind of over did it with the image this year. I'm doubting whether or not I'll actually do another next year but who knows? I might just be burnt out on this for the moment. I was jazzed up on old Halloween record covers and wanted to do something similar so I just went for it. Anyway enjoy.

(I would suggest opening the image in a new tab so you can zoom in on the list a bit.)

UPDATE: We've since added "The VVITCH", "Planet Terror", "Hellboy Blood and Iron" and "Hellboy Sword of Storms" to the list.
